manufactured taking steps to reduce environmental impact and to meet or
exceed the most stringent regulatory requirements.

* There are the solvents and other compounds that evaporate into the air and contribute to the formation of smog (ozone).
Typical VOCs include the solvents in paints, adhesives and inks. Gasoline is 100% VOC, as is BBQ lighter fluid, the alcohol that is emitted from bakeries, and many more sources.
** GS-11 is a Green Seal governmental standard for paint that works to protect indoor air quality by increasing the number of prohibited chemicals and reducing the allowable VOC levels for base paint and colorants.
*** LEED certification means that certain "green building" standards are met, such as energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality.
